This is an Ansonia 8-Day Shelf Clock Circa 1880-1890. The case is made of walnut, has walnut overlays, and is carved on the top. The case has not been refinished but is very presentable as it is. The silver patterned glass is original and has a picture of plants. The glass is in good condition. The paper dial and pendulum are not original. The dial has black Roman Numerals and has a brass dial plate. The pendulum is brass with a regulating adjustment. This pendulum is from a similar style clock. The movement is a 1882 New York dome topped movement that strikes the hours and half hours on a mellow wire gong. There is a key.
